Alexis arrived home yet no one was there presently.

Σ~σ~Alexis- I see Noir was here today.

Alexis knew she had stopped in. Everything was clean. Noir usually did that to cover up any mess Mary got into. Alexis decided to start making lunch in the kitchen for when they got back.

  The sounds from the neighborhood gradually faded away. If someone were to look out the windows they'd see nothing but pitch black.

Alexis noticed things got dark really fast. She was using mostly light from the windows.

Alexis flipped a light switch and continued making lunch.

Alexis finished making lunch and decided to sit in front of a tv and eat alone.

Σ~σ~Alexis- Guess if they can't get home, i'll just have to eat without them.

Alexis put on a movie to watch while she ate.

In the middle of the movie a character walked on screen that totally shouldn't be there. He killed the main villain an took his place for the rest of the show. The movie eventually ended with the defeat of the heroes and the fall of all the worlds governments. The altered movie was both longer and much better than the real version.

King pointed a finger at her face, shaking it slowly.

Careful careful. The children of this era possess a frightening potential, unseen in the past. Your failure to grasp that fact brought you to the very brink of death today...without you ever realizing it. 

A large crystal appeared in the air, the scene of her earlier encounter with the two boys inside replaying.

That was a very impressive kick. I imagine the mere memory of it is going to give Sheyenne stomach and intestinal pains for quite some time. You truly left a lasting impression.

The scene moved on. When it got to the point where she prepared to launch an attack, things went differently. Teria didn't appear to interfere. Instead the attack was launched...an grew far larger than intended. The resulting explosion obliterated everything and everyone for miles around.

The power to turn any action into an act of absolute violence. An what happens to an already extremely violent act? Well, you can see that yourself.

The sphere vanished.

I sent him along specifically because I knew there was a high chance you'd trigger his "other side". Though...I didn't anticipate you completely ignoring the warning signs an nearly killing the both of you. A miscalculation on my part. I failed to look into your personality properly.

He folded his arms.

He continued to hold out the key, waiting for her discussion.

Alexis felt she could withstand anything her mom could dish out. And that was saying a lot about her confidence in her defenses.

Ken entered the house and saw Alexis was talking to some huge man in armor.

Kendelle: Wow Alexis, your friends get weirder and weirder. Not saying he's weird, maybe diverse is the right word. Hey there. I'm Kendelle. I'd introduce you to our daughter, but she's in school right now.

Ken went into the kitchen to start making food for himself, Alexis and their guest.

Knowing he'd just been defeated, King walked off to the kitchen.

Your wife wishes for us to get acquainted.

He began, standing in the middle of the kitchen. It was then he noticed the massive size difference. He was completely casting a shadow over Benjamin.

Ken noticed the light was being blocked by the armored man. Ken looked up at him again.

Kendelle: So you must be a long term associate then? It's been a real drag lately finding work. None of my numbers for the IPD work anymore. So i'm not sure if I even have a job. I'm thinking of going to the castle myself. But i'm not sure if a knight is really my thing. Ah, sorry, I kinda ramble on when talking about work. It's a struggle out there. The cup transformed into a glass eagle. 

A gift. It may hold the appearance of a fragile thing of beauty, but in truth it hides great strength. Use it as you will.

It flew around the room for a bit before landing on Benjamin's shoulder.

My apologies. It's been some time since I met a man who expressed genuine amazement at the miraculous. The bird responds to your thoughts. With time and practice, it will become as natural as breathing. 

His head turned slightly as something far away caught his attention.

Hmmm.....hahahahahaha. How amusing....

Through his bond with his partner he saw a castle in ruins. Hopefully said castles master would burn along with her ship.

Cintamani handed him a cup, not expecting him to drink any coffee because she couldn't figure out how he would do it. So the cup was empty. She just thought it awkward if she had a cup and he didn't.

Cintamani finished her coffee  and took a seat on the counter. She tasted it and thought it was horrible, so she poured it out.

I will not answer that.

Putting his cup down, he took hers and began brewing a fresh batch. King might not be able to drink coffee, but he remembered how to make it just fine.

I've dealt with otherworldly beings far too many times to make such a careless slip of the tongue.

He chuckled.

Good try, though.

Finishing the coffee, he handed it to her. He'd had to use magic to make it, since the ingredients for that particular blend didn't exist anymore.

:=:Cintamani:=: Not bad. I figured with you recruiting so many talented youngsters. One dropping in with a simple time stop and offering a hand wouldn't be viewed as too strange. But even I can be wrong at times. I am Cintamani. The coffee is fantastic. I thank you for that.

Cintamani offered him a handshake but noticed he didn't make a motion for her hand.

Cintamani unfroze time and left normally. The other's couldn't see or hear her anyway. They they would probably notice the front door opening and closing on it's own.

Ken tried moving it around but found it fairly difficult to get it to do much.

Ken was able to use Ki. But wasn't that good at it yet. He practiced in secret to surprise Alexis one day.

Perhaps. Magic is merely one of many paths. There are countless roads to power. If you have the will, one will open to you. Speaking of paths...what sort of employment are you looking for? I know a number of people who'd be interested in hiring a former agent...

Several of the groups he had dealings with were having a lot of security issues.

  The conversation was suddenly interrupted by a large pile of 12 children suddenly dropping out of nowhere onto the floor. Their daughter somehow ended up standing on top of the pile.
