Hi. If I were you, I'd punch whoever coded that fake key for you in the face. Registering it to a date that doesn't even exist yet was a really mean prank. They obviously wanted you to get caught. Now go on, beat it before you get in real trouble.

It didn't help that he didn't know most proper names of people nor equipment because everything in the future ran on aliases and labels instead of proper names.

The gate opened, letting Elegy in. Luce took him straight to the front desk to get him a student visitors ID card. He'd get him something more permanent once he was satisfied that his story was legit.

Linda was actually sitting at the desk, pretending to work there. She was waiting for the receptionist to get back because she wanted to speak with the bosses around here. It had been a long time since she spoke to the Creed Empire and wanted to work on political relations. She actually slipped in unnoticed. It wasn't that she snuck in. It was that her software was too advanced for the security system and she walked right in.

Luce smiled back. He didn't question the presence of a new girl at the desk, since the receptionist changed practically every other day lately. Even with the added security, most people were too nervous to stay there long.

I've got a student here who needs a guest pass. Go on, give her your name.

He patted Elegy on the back, urging him forward.

He didn't remember his cover at all. He didn't even really hear that. He was so distracted with trying to get a feel for what his exact moment in history was.

Luce barely suppressed a heavy sigh.

Sorry about that. He stayed up all night watching anime again, so his brains a little buggy. He's a cousin of the family who's here for a career day tour. If he's interested in what he sees, i'm thinking of setting him up for a student internship.

This wasn't what he'd had in mind, but it would do. He'd worry about how to explain to everyone where this unknown "cousin" came from later.

Skylar was outside, surrounded by a growing wall of mech prototype soldiers. She tried to figure out where she was by moving a television using Technokinesis, down to where she could see and they thought she was yet another attacker

Skylar walked over to the door of the building. She used her technokinesis to pull off the door so she could examine it. It set off the alarm, which she disabled and examined from just outside. She went into a deep trance as she was messing with waaaaay too much technology at once. She was like a kid in a candy store. But that all came to an end suddenly. Her eyes glazed over. She dropped to her knees then onto her back, having abruptly died. But if anyone were to check as to how, they would see she somehow drowned. which made no sense at all.

Frangipani showed up instead of the medical staff. They lost there sense of direction when she visited them. She had an ice cream cone and a glowing blue orb thing instead of ice cream.

She went to lick her "ice cream" and the sphere thing floated off towards the dead girl. She grabbed it with her hand and it was fighting even harder. There were in a tug of war match.

He got Fran to let go of the soul.
