Normally someone of your talents and temperament would be handled by my brother in Hell. However,...

His race was a special one that served as administrative assistants to divine beings. They were born from an indestructible egg that appeared before those that needed them. If they were somehow killed, they returned to the egg to await rebirth.

Letting Ms. Hide have a dragon is out of the question, so you were given a special pass to heaven. She'll be compensated for the loss, but that's not something you need to worry about.

He flipped a few pages of the VERY long file (rap sheet).

I'd assign you as an angel of vengeance an send you out to serve the God of Wrath. But, that position is currently unfilled. The titles holder had only taken it temporarily to keep it away from a very unstable young dragon lady. Therefore, i'm going to give you the option of becoming an archangel and assisting in a joint heaven/hell venture. The person we originally chose isn't yet ready for this sort of responsibility, so the jobs open to whoever thinks there up for it.

It was decided the original candidate would be excused from any further duties for the time being. They still had a lot of growing to do.

Σ~σ~Alexis- I don't accept jobs until I know all of the details. So, what's the currency you use up here, and how much will I get for this job?

Alexis was an extremely ambitious individual. Even in death, she was aiming to greatly improve her standings above all she could surpass and in every way she found interesting.

We use "karma". It's the manifestation of your efforts. Good Karma is the currency you spend on things you want. Be it physical property, an improvement to your life, helpful work tool, etc. Bad Karma is debt. I think you can figure that one out on your own.

The coin morphed into a bank card, which he sat on the table.

That's yours. I thought you'd appreciate something a bit more modern.

A wallet apeared beside it.

Now before we move on, there's something we need to take care of. As a agent of heaven who was formerly a mortal, you have the option of offering a chance at reformation to one condemned mortal soul. They'll be given a temporary pass to work for you, good until they either atone...oooor, you fire them, giving them the boot right back to the pits of hell. This is totally optional. Something the old guys came up with to give people who made it here a chance to share their good fortune.

He was curious to see if she'd be interested in it.

Alexis smirked. She was ambitious over all else. So if doing this would make her rich in heaven, so be it.

Alexis picked up a laptop she "borrowed" on the way.

Σ~σ~Alexis- This is too good to be true. I want this one.

Alexis selected someone who was in limbo. Stuck between hell, emanation, reincarnation and revival. 

Σ~σ~Alexis- Ronda Nana if i'm not mistaken.

Alexis recalled her by a different face though.

Romo barely held in a laugh. Alexis was certanly different from your typical heavenly spirit. He was looking forward to her future antics.  

Quite an interesting choice! Honestly, I'd expected you to pick some easy sap for your first one. Okay then....

Borrowing her "borrowed" laptop for a second, he used it to put the request through. A pillar of light apeared in the room, Rhoda slowly rose up in it an floated there. 

Rhonda Nana, at the request of angel trainee Alexis, you've been granted parole, under the condition that you work as her assistant. Serve well and faithfully, an you may one day earn a pardon. Screw up an get kicked back into limbo...or worse. This is your chance to decide your fate. Choose wisely.

Silver bands apeared on her wrists, ankles, and neck. They were bonds of divine servitude that marked her new status as a follower. The pillar vanished, leaving her kneeling before her new employer.

Now then, you've got your lackey, so back to business. The job your being offered is, as I mentioned, a collaboration effort between heaven and hell. In fact, it involves a group your already somewhat familiar with. Hides little gang of brothers. So far they've been satisfied with tormenting and punishing those already on the path to hell. It's what their supposed to be doing, an they like their job well enough. But....

He sighed.

There's no way those rowdy little hellions will do their work properly forever. An their boss lady certainly isn't going to watch them. Sooner or later, they're going to play with someone innocent. An they'll like it. I'd rather they not start developing a taste for that sort of thing. Their big sister alone is bad enough, we DON"T want to see her whole family getting in on her fun. This is where you come in. I want you to keep them on task.

He smiled.

As the angel of vengeance. You know, basically the angelic version of that guy Ghost Rider. He's the spirit of vengeance, if you haven't heard.

Who was currently missing after being stolen by hell. Dang thieves.

Anyways, there are many mortals who are too weak to avenge themselves. You would find these people, judge whether or not the party who wronged them is deserving of heavens wrath, an act accordingly. What do you think? It's a role I believe you were born for. One where your free to be yourself. I've been looking for someone to fill this position for a LONG time. Buuut, ya know, that kinda guy generally doesn't come to heaven....

Romo waited to see what she thought. If Alexis didn't like it, he'd work with her to come up with something else. This was her Heaven, after all. They would keep at it for as long as it took to find the afterlife she wanted.

Alexis didn't pay any mind to her prayers. Instead she was interested in one thing at the moment.

Σ~σ~Alexis- Does this added activity pay as well? And how much compared to my current job I already accepted?

Alexis hated kids, so she would be less accepting of a job involving them unless it payed a lot.

Try your best. The path to redemption is always open to those who truly desire it. Lets try to direct those murderous urges of yours to those who deserve them. Alexis here will point you in the right direction, so do as she says, okay?

He handed Alexis a file. It was filled with info on the group. 

You will be paid quite well if you can keep those little terrors from skinning some poor innocent alive. An that's not just an expression, by the way. Their not the "typical little brats" your used to dealing with. Their a bunch of psycho's who's specialty is bringing pain and terror to the living and the dead alike.

He scratched his head.

We made the mistake of giving this assignment to a normal agent once. We got our agent  back in jars. Lots of jars.

The angel couldn't keep his dislike of hells citizens to himself. The brothers eventuslly got sick of it an literally took him apart, shipping the pieces back in labeled jars.

Σ~σ~Alexis- So basically you want me to annoy them as often as possible. I can do that. Or rather, we can handle that.

Alexis was well aware that hell being wouldn't listen to heavenly ones. So the brats wouldn't answer to her. So she would just be the biggest thorn in there sides.

Romo slapped a bronze halo on Alexis's head. The words "dragon of heaven, trainee class" etched themselves into it. 

If that's what works for you. Now it's time for you two to go. I'm a busy guy, an my next visitor is due any minute. Have a happy afterlife!

The pair were instantly warped out of Romo's office.
